  • Step 1: Dampen the towelling with a red fine scotch pad with Leather Prep until it begins to run out on its own.
  • Step 2: Gently rub it onto the surface.
  • Step 3: Use a terry towel rag to wipe away the removed paint as you progress.
  • Step 4: Wipe over the surface with an alcohol cleaner once completed.
  • Fold a red scotch pad in half and soak it with leather prep, or spray leather prep directly onto the leather.
  • Rub the pad softly over the area to remove some of the old coloured coating. Do not remove all the surface paint.
  • Be cautious with different types of leather like finished splits to avoid removing top grain structure.
  • Prep vinyl but expect no colour release.
  • Do not use red scotch pads on aniline, pull up, faux, vegan, bonded, and bicast leather.
