Use for restoring natural leather shoes or dyeing raw hide, crust leather, or veg-tanned leather. Also, effective for restoring colour on crusts and veg-tanned items.

  • Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free of dirt and debris.
  •  Apply dye sparingly using a sponge or pad, avoiding over-application.
  • Rub dye in circular motions, ensuring even coverage and avoiding streaks.
  • Level out excess dye with straight lines if necessary.
  • Once dried, seal with neutral shoe restorer cream or antique silk dressing.
  • For added durability, apply clear coat lacquers with a crosslinker.

Measurements 

  •  When aiming for gentler results in sympathetic restorations, utilise shoe dyes with Raw Hide Base.
  •  Use the following guide for maximum dye amounts to add to base sizes:
  • 5 litres of base: 1 litre of dye
  • 1 litre of base: 200 ml of dye
  • 500 ml of base: 100 ml of dye
  • 250 ml of base: 50 ml of dye
  • 100 ml of base: 20 ml of dye
  • 50 ml of base: 10 ml of dye
  • Adjust dye amounts for desired intensity. Less dye yields more vibrant results when mixed.
